About the Designer

Dana Richardson is an alum of The Ohio State University. At Ohio State, she earned a Bachelors degree in Visual Communication Design with a minor in Communication Technology. She is from Powell, Ohio, and an alumna of Buckeye Valley High School. She has an interest in digital and print design, as well as typography. Although her main focus is design, she also enjoys sports, fashion, social networking, and music.

Dana is currently a Creative & Branding Intern for Ohio State Athletics and a Graphic Design Intern for SAM. As an intern with Ohio State, she works with other members of the creative & branding team to design content for Ohio State's athletic teams. So far, she has designed apparel, social media posts, and printed work. With SAM, Dana has created email newsletter templates, mailers, flyers, social media posts, and more. While interning with Ohio State Athletics and SAM, Dana has also worked as a Freelance designer focusing on branding and social media projects.

Dana is also a graduate of the Media, Marketing, and Communications Scholars program (MMC) at The Ohio State University. In this program, she was able to gain more design knowledge from the Digital Sandbox programs that were offered. The MMC program combined with Ohio State’s design program makes her an extremely qualified designer for any company.

Along with MMC, Dana was formerly involved in various student organizations, including Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, Block O, CSCA, the Undergraduate Business Women’s Association, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honors Society, and other fun/hobby-related organizations. Within MMC, Dana was a Freshman and Sophmore Leadership Officer. In her sorority, she was on the Merchandise, interior design, and social media committees. She was also a member of both the marketing and soccer committees in Block O where she helped manage the social media pages, as well as create various promotional designs. Her Junior year, she was a student manager for The Ohio State Women's Soccer team. She took photos of the team at both practices and games, as well as helped manage the team's activities.
